So I am staking Dot & Atom on Kucoin. Thereās flexible option and locked option i believe. I obviously locked it bc of the higher rewards.
On the exchange it says 8.93% for Atom and 11.93% for Dot. Since itās been exactly a month since I started getting rewards for the stake I did the math to see my reward percentage and found iām actually getting 7.5% for Atom and about 10.5% for Dot.
I am unsure why my rewards are less than advertised. Both Dot & Atom are in my Pool-x account, Both are Locked with 21 & 28 day redemption periods. However, on my Pool-x account it shows āflexible 6%-8%ā next to my Locked Atom and āflexible 5%-14%ā next to my Locked Dot.
I was under the impression the route I choose to stake was the highest rewards route. I could be wrong. It also says that the % advertised is APY not APR and apy includes the compounding interest, however iām pretty sure my rewards are not getting re-invested because they show up as āavailableā on my pool-x account.
Should I have not locked up my stake, because if you just keep it in the pool-x account it auto stakes for less % but the compounding effect could turn to more rewards? And if I did in fact do this the right way for highest reward then why am I receiving less? And lastly If my Atom & Dot are locked up then why does it show āflexibleā next to the coin when itās actually not flexible cus I will have to wait once I unstake.
This is no hate, Just clarification & education. And I donāt plan to unstake anytime soon.
thx
