I'm sure I need more practice using the digital drawing pad but I'm starting to think 3D modeling could be less time consuming.
For example, I found drawing a first person view of a hand holding a rifle time consuming enough to think it could be done faster in Blender as a 3D model.
If I still want to go the 2D route, I could 3D model first in Blender, rendering it down to a 2D image then use Krita. This way, if I want to animate, I can use the same 3D model in Blender, make adjustments, and render again. Whereas in Krita, I'll have to draw the whole piece again.
For instance, drawing first person view of a hand holding a rifle to block in coming attacks. I could rotate the 3D model of the rifle in Blender, move it a bit and render that into a 2D image so I can draw hands holding the rifle in Krita.
I'm new to all this so let me know if there is a better way.
Thanks
