Hello everyone, I'm in a tough situation and I was wondering if there were people here smarter than I am who might be able to help me out. I got a DUI and lost my license. I was at the time a full-blown alcoholic and after researching kratom I have used it to completely stop drinking. It has been a god-send. Now I have done my community service and other requirements to get my license back. Apparently I now must attend an outpatient therapy before receiving my license and this outpatient therapy does not allow kratom and they do test for it. This is a big problem for me. I do use kratom everyday as a maintenance and it has worked beautifully. I have stopped drinking I have stayed out of trouble, I exercise everything is going well. I do not want to stop taking kratom for fear of turning back to drink or other drugs again. I also don't want to stop because it works as a great antidepressant for me and I fear becoming majorly depressed again and it also just makes me very angry that they think they can stop me from taking a legal plant. My question is, how can they force me to stop taking a plant that is legal in NJ?

I have posed this question here once before and got some good advice to ask for all of my paperwork and go over the language to see if this is legally possible. It is the holidays now so I can't get any information until next week. I have been told that if the treatment facility doesn't allow Kratom and I sign paperwork agreeing to that I can be screwed that way. To try and find a treatment place that doesn't ban or test for kratom. I called up the other Treatment Facility in my area and they said they don't allow Kratom either.

Has anybody here ever gone through this exact situation? Is there anything I can do? Any help will be much appreciated, this is a major issue for me. Thanks
