Kratom & Elevated Liver Enzymes. My Story
Post Body

What's up guys. I just wanted to share my story and get some feedback from this community.

For the last 1.5 years i've been taking Norcos. On average around 60-100 per month. When I got my prescription 1.5 years ago I was tested and had a healthy liver with an enzyme test of 12. Six months ago I was tested again and my enzyme count was slightly elevated but still only 60.

About 30 days ago i started cutting back on the Norcos only using 1 pill per day and started taking Kratom (Maeng Da). I've been taking around 6-12 grams per day mixing kratom into water and drinking.

Friday evening I started to get CRAZY pains in my appendix region and went to the ER. They ran all types of tests and found gallstones and an elevated liver enzyme count of 400 (almost 9x that of a healthy liver.

Nothing in the way I have lived has changed other than taking Kratom. I cant say for sure it's the Kratom but i do suspect it is a prime suspect. Honestly I'm torn because I love this stuff. It's been great for me and has helped me start to ween off the PKs. On top of that it gives me great energy and I've been both very productive and creative during this time. In fact i feel it has really helped with my overall mood and outlook on life. I was coming off a mild bout of depression and Kratom really helped.

So I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to possibly lower liver enzymes while still taking Kratom or is it something I should stop. I will admit that I havent been drinking enough water and my poop has beed green and very sticky.

Please share your experience and advice
