They share so many similarities. I remember Eric Nam saying in the Dive podcast that Treasure look like an SM group and he was surprised that they were from YG. And it’s true, looking at the YG boy groups (Bigbang, Winner, iKON, 1YTM, JINUSEAN, SCKESHIES, honorable mention for Epik High) they look so out of place ( not in a negative way ). They look super unique and musically different.

They have two leaders same as Exo who used to have two leaders. They have 4 Japanese members, same as Exo who used to have 4 Chinese members. They were supposed to be 13, same as Seventeen.

For me they have a good mix of Exo and Seventeen overall aura and it’s not something that you can copy easily so we can’t even say that YG intended it that way. For a YG group they are definitely unique and I look forward to what they will bring for their new girl group.
