I like Kpop. I casually listen to Kpop when I workout or cook. I have a kpop tw stan account. Yea, I SAID IT. I, born in 1997, which will make me 24 this year. I've been a Kpop fan since the beginning of my middle school. I remember the days I waited every week for new episode of Dream High 1, got my heart broken bc of DBSK split, knew every words of Oh(SNSD), Tell Me(Wonder Girls) and Haru Haru(Big Bang). I screamed with joy each time Shinhwa came back. I watched dozens episodes of Running Man since Song Joong Ki was a cast member...

Why did I not tell anyone I like Kpop? Bc I got embarrassed. I didn't want to associate myself with the "passionate Kpop fans" who would get loud and attack people anytime someone teases their oppas (yes, they exist in my class back in the day and those bjtches are crazy). I was embarassed of the feminine image of boy group that everyone said it's "gay" even though I think they are beautiful asf. I didn't want to ask my parents money to buy Kpop merch..

12 years has passed and thing is a lot different now. I chat with a few friends from middle school days recently, and everyone was surprised when I told them I like Kpop. They would never have guessed. I guess I just became more mature with time and feel more confident voicing my opinion now I'm older.

*Edit: Anyways, iKON newest song is straight up banger ;)
