In the world of boy groups, the three stated are the most powerful groups that I call the big three killers, why? Well its because that these groups prove that the smaller and mediocre companies can rule the industry too, without these groups smaller companies will never get the chance they have now, groups like SF9 and Victon as well as others are thriving because of the road paved by these big three killers. In other words, seventeen showed that not all large groups must be like Suju, Monsta x showed that the American market is just as profitable as the Korean market, and BTS showed that you can succeed no matter how much trouble you faced in the past.

MX is definitely upper tier internationally. Depends on your perspective I guess. Also depends on how you define mid-tier, which for me would be Astro, SF9, Victon, etc. Monsta X's popularity is much higher than those groups. I think Bangtan's success has twisted what a top-tier/mid-tier boy group is (SVT can't even compare to them technically).
