Companies and idol groups don't care about ifans and that's valid. (A bit long sorry)

I've seen this in the YouTube comment sections, on Reddit forums, and other international forums. There are a lot, a lot, of international (specifically western/non-Asian) fans (or stans depending definition), who don't stream, don't purchase albums, and generally don't necessarily contribute much to a group's financial success. I respect and understand that as everyone has their own lifestyle, but please also understand that it also means that the group/their company are not gonna care much about your opinions on issues. Take CA, just for an example, why would they care much if at all about it, when those who would boycott over those issues make up a fraction of where they get their money from?

The same with English subs; it's great that they are provided, but why are they obligated to? I see people complaining all the damn time about lack of Eng subs sounding like they are entitled to it, where in reality they don't own you that.

Another thing is, ifans tend to be multi fandom (which is completely okay and that's just how the western pop culture is, don't get me wrong). Being multifandom means that a single group isn't gonna get your undivided attention and funds, (and while it doesn't make you lesser of a fan) thus you would wane in priority for them. This is not meant to discount your love; rather, it's just a cultural in the respective music industries regarding fan relations.

Sorry for the long post, I debated whether or not this should be here or unpopular opinions sub, however I don't know if it's truly unpopular and I want to facilitate a discussion! Thoughts?

Tbh, the rational thing to do if you don’t agree with something would be to avoid/boycott it at all costs. However, American fans don’t do that with kpop, which is shocking to me. If so many aspects of the industry are negatively affecting you, avoid it! Not only would it give a clearer sign to kpop companies that they may need a different, more inclusive approach to targeting the American market, it would also just be better for one’s self respect. As an Indian, a lot of Bollywood music bothers me so much because of the misogyny and the obsession with fairness, so I AVOID it.
