I'm gonna start sounding like a Baekhyun solo stan but I don't stan Baekhyun or EXO or SuperM.

I like some of EXO's discography but the fact that SM released an absurd amount of album versions for their older albums which makes it incredibly expensive to collect that Lay openly supports the CCP which makes me not want to delve into their older discography anymore. (Please note that I'm not saying that you shouldn't, just saying why I don't!)

But anyway, that was always a good reason for me not to collect their EXO's merch because I hate incomplete collections. Obviously it's up to the individual what they decide to collect or not to collect, for me when collecting kpop groups I want to collect all versions of every (Korean) album from an artist and not just cherry pick which albums I like more, or which versions I like more.

But then Baekhyun released his first mini album City Lights and I thought to myself “Well, since it's a solo album, I guess I can collect it.” So I got both versions of City Lights and his Kihno kit too!

I was aware that he was gonna release Delight but due to Covid-19 I've not earned any money since January so I couldn't preorder anything and I didn't really look into it further, I just listened to the album online and that was it.

But now I received some money and I know I shouldn't be spending it TT^TT but I ended up buying BTS's latest lightstick (they're the only group I stan). Then I looked into Baekhyun's latest album and to my HORROR I discovered there are now FOUR versions and THREE kihno kits TT^TT LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME SM!?

But if that's not bad enough I randomly saw this super pretty hologram photocard (official) and it's not even expensive and then I went down a rabbithole and for the past two days I've spend HOURS upon HOURS of putting various (official) Baekhyun merch into my baskets on several websites and exercising extreme self-control by not buying anything (yet).

I've also stopped myself from going outside to the shop to buy his albums, the collector within me just wants, wants, wants, plus his photocards aren't insanely expensive like BTS's photocards, and there's some really awesome merch that would look cool on my non-existent shelves for the day in my non-existent future where I actually have a place with shelving units and can display my kpop collection >.>

It's come to the point that I've even considered getting his SuperM albums even though I didn't particular like the music, but he's oh so pretty and it would look nice on my non-existent shelves. Plus hey an extra 2 photocards! I DON'T EVEN STAN THIS MAN!!!

And now for the reason I shouldn't be spending this money aside from being unemployed:

Since July 1st we no longer have freedom of speech and it's no longer safe to live here, meaning I should look into moving abroad and thus I need to save all the money I have because moving abroad is expensive as hell.

(I know this is mostly about Baekhyun but I actually also wanted Suho's album, both versions kihno, I haven't listened to Chen's solo album on purpose because I'm scared that if I like it I want to have it >.>)

I really feel that sooner or later I'm gonna burst and run to the shops and get those albums but WHY did they decide to make THREE kihno kits like uggghhh it's such a money grab, I KNOW it's a money grab and I still want to have it. I hate consumerism lol.
