tbh maybe it's just me, but the whole series felt like they were trying to just teach American slang to non-Americans (or even their Korean audience). I don't really think the intentions were bad or even that they specifically chose to speak that way because Stephen Curry is black, but it happens to be that a lot of American slang is AAVE.
