Inspired by the "JYP is the Matthew Knowles of Kpop", let's bring two fandoms - figure skating and Kpop - together, who is Kpop's Eteri Tudberize and why? Or is there even a figure like that?
For those who don't know, Tudberize is the star coach of the Russian figure skating scene and her trainees - most popular being Olympians Evgenia Medvedeva, Alina Zagitova, Yulia Lipnitskaya, Alexandra Trusova, Alena Kostornaia and many more - are almost all Olympians and world championship medallists, sweep podiums left and right, boasting crazy flexibility and jumping skills (we're talking quadruple jumps here) that basically shook the entire figure skating scene.
The dark truth is that Eteri's coaching methods only work on young teenage girls and basically is so rigourous and physically demanding it breaks your body once you reach the end of puberty. Above mentioned Yulia retired at the tender age of 19 because of anorexia caused by Eteri's diet that instead of focused on building muscles to land jumps, focused on less body weight to be more aerodynamic. To the point that the young teenage athletes are dehydrated and malnourished. Plus, anyone that wants to leave her training gets smeared and shittalked by Eteri on national russian TV and has no other choice but to come back
