I always thought it was kinda funny that Visas was able to get Mandalore to suddenly open up to her aboard the Ravager, but I realized when showering that the two of them actually have a lot in common not only as people whose species are endangered, but as people whose existences are defined by other people.
Mandalore rests his fate and ambitions at Revan's feet; the guy spent years floating around as a mercenary after his people got their ass kicked after trying to conquer the galaxy (which he served in as a another grunt) only for Revan to show up and convince him it'd be a totally awesome idea if he gathered what was left of his species so that they could die fighting in their war instead right after explaining to him that the Sith tricked his people into dying for their war. He doesn't do anything without Revan ordering him around, and his limited autonomy is spent carrying out what he assumes would be Revan's desire or in pursuit of learning more about Revan (assisting the Exile after being coerced into it by Kreia.)
Visas is in a similar position, her people being destroyed and her being abducted by the man who did it to become his (Apprentice/Slave/Assassin)... kind of like how Revan destroyed Canderous' people, with her given little to no ability to have her own interests or ambitions that are not Nihilus', only to then be passed off to the Jedi Exile who can make the choice of whether or not to use her to her last breath with her thanking them for it or finally being treated as a thinking, sentient creature.
