So, starting with the good: I enjoyed the story and the whole thing with Kreia, Sion, and Nihilus. Although it's a bit more cryptic than needed, the philosophy that the Force itself is a problem because it has a will and living beings are always exposed to suffering because of it is understandable and interesting. The existence of the true Sith Empire is also interesting and gives Kreia a slightly valid motive for wanting to destroy the Force itself, giving them no foothold to conquer the galaxy. But ultimately, Revan and other Jedi like Meetra Suriik are the better choice, fighting the true Sith without the untold destruction that the death of the Force would cause. I enjoyed most of the companions as well, mostly Kreia, Visas, HK-47, Mandalore, the Disciple, and Bao-Dur.
With the bad/meh: The combat, while being better, is still not something I'd subject myself to again. While the influence system is a positive, it's confusing and there's lots of cutscene moments that tend to happen one after the other if away from the ship for too long. There's a few story points, like Onderon and Nar Shaddaa that I found more tedious than difficult. But that's about all the bad/meh stuff.
All in all, I'd still put KOTOR above KOTOR 2, but I enjoyed where Obsidian took the story and the philosophy they brought.
