The game is unplayable

I got the game yesterday, and was playing it fine with some friends in five man games.
Today I decided to play some solos, and every time I get into a game I can walk around, pick things up and do anything fine for around a minute before the game kills me and says "Killed by environment."
This has happened 3 times in a row now and I am literally unable to play the game at this point.
