I know this is a strange request, but my family and I are at a loss so I thought maybe reddit could help, I've seen this place do amazing things.
My mom was in a head on collision last Friday afternoon (the 5th) on West Alto road. Her black car was hit by a black truck and she was seriously injured. She was airlifted to an ICU in Indy shortly after arriving at the hospital. This has been a rough year for my family and this accident almost broke us. My mom is doing better, which we are so grateful for, though we are looking at a hard recovery.
I'm not asking for anything specific, but my sisters and I just wish we could understand. This accident has changed my mom and our lives forever and as more information on the accident surfaces, how it happened becomes more and more difficult to comprehend.
I'm wondering if there is anyone who possibly saw what happened or was around the area could explain what they believe caused this improbable accident. I recognize the inherent haziness in eye witness reports, and that's Ir's been almost a week. I promise not to ask you for your personal information or to do anything like a witness report. Its just... what we first heard seems to be entirely wrong and from what we understand, about where the cars were on the road and they collided, it makes no sense to us.
Every little bit helps. If you were around that area or have any idea what happened I would love to hear it. We've heard a number of scenarios so even the tiniest bit of information could help pin one of those down.
In any case, thanks for taking the time to read this. Be careful out there, the roads seem especially crazy everywhere here lately. Your family would rather you be a little bit late to the alternative, take it from me.
