Episodes slowly vanishing from my library

I'm having a bit of a weird issue lately. Basically, over time episodes will slowly disappear from my library until a show shows 0 episodes. So for example, I will scan my drive and Kodi will scrape/add 300 episodes for a show. The next time I launch Kodi, the show will have 250 episodes, and the next time 150 and so on until all the episodes vanish. I can clean my library and rescan them back in, but they'll vanish again over time. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

I'm running Kodi on a Shield TV and my user data/library database is on an external drive.
