Page number bug after importing through calibre

I bought some books on amazon, imported to calibre and sent to my kobo, but I’ve noticed the page numbers don’t sync up probably. When I turn the page, the page number at the top stays the same usually for 2 or 3 pages in a row. Is this a bug or something I need to change when importing/exporting through calibre? Also, can I get rid of the small page number reference on the right hand margin?
