I had this one two weeks ago and been testing it since. Rope, banana stalks, heavy tarp, coconuts - heavy use in an island excursion. 14c28n blade has small black spots, left the coconut juice to dry in there good. Still got a bit of working edge left.
I kinda understood why this knife is up there with CJRB Pyrite which I also have as among the best bang-for-buck EDCs - lightweight, inexpensive, decent edge retention, not too deep carry clip, axis lock. Love the blade profile too, like a kizer drop bear. Smooth action so far. The countersunk and flush fit of the clip hardware at both sides is nice in the hand. Thick spine but slicey grinding. Unassuming look that doesnโt scream tacticool. Prefer it now over my pyrite.
One thing though - you have to watch out for that blade tip when closing this knife. It has a 3 mm clearance from the bottom of the scales - the tip might swing into the fleshy part of your palm. Especially if you have large hands and keep a scalpel-sharp tip.
