I am making my first (non doll) sweater – PetiteKnit’s Sunday Sweater. So far, so good. However, I am now at the part where you divide the body and sleeves and am a little unsure of the directions and was hoping someone would be willing to help me through it. Here are the directions:
Now divide the sts into sleeves and body, while at the same time casting on new sts at each underarm, as follows: - Place the next 49 sts on a stitch holder or length of leftover yarn (right sleeve), cast on 13 new sts for the underarm using the backward loop method. - Knit 83 (front)
Just to confirm, are the extra 13 stitches part of the sleeve or body? I.e. Do they go on the holder or on the main body needles? I think the answer is the body because the final sections says that there will be 192 final sts for the body and the only math that would make sense is: 83 (front) 83 (back) 13 (right underarm) 13 (left underarm).
Thank you so much in advance for your help and expertise!
