Post Body

I'm working on a scarf for my boyfriend's mom, so I want it to be perfect. Therefore, I'm not sure if what I'm thinking is really the better option or if I'm being overcritical.

The scarf is purple with a black stockinette flare at the bottom. I started out with a size 10.5 US needle and decreased size by size every 10 rows till I got to a 6US. The purple is knit with a 5US. The pattern for the purple is basically a series of "yo,slip,knit2, passed slipped stitch over 2 knitted stitches"

Now I want to from what I've got and go back and do the flare in a garter stitch because I think that will look better with the rest of the scarf. Opinions?
