Hello (hopefully) new friends! I'm working on learning the brioche technique before getting started on my first project. I seem to always lose a stitch between the cast on row and the foundation row; I cast on 31 stitches and then am left with 30 after the first row. I am also using the VeryPink Knits pattern for reference. Anyway, it asks to yarn forward, so I always just pull my working yarn between my needles, then slip 1 purl wise, so I do that and then, here's my question, k2tog. But the yarn is still in front! So is there a different technique or do I need to wrap the yarn and add a fake loop? Do I wrap through the bottom or top? I have really been racking my brain over how this should work and I'm hoping you creative minds can help! Thank you so much.
