So, I'm wanting to start up a yarn review blog. I already bought the domain and have a small stock of yarns I want to start with, along with a decent photography set up to be able to show off the yarns, so this is happening.

Here's what I know I need:

• A picture of the yarn as it come from the store
• the label information
• a 4x4 stockinette swatch
• a knitted cable swatch
• a knitted lace swatch
• a felted swatch
• a 4x4 double crochet swatch
• detail info on yarn
  • WPI
  • is it scratchy
  • how many plies
  • yarn texture
  • halo
  • does it split
  • does it pill/shed
  • does it bleed

I've already made a post over on /r/crochet here to ask them if there's anything they would like to see as it's been a long time since I've crocheted.

My question for you lovelies is the same. Is there anything that I'm missing? Also,is there a specific lace or cable pattern that you think would be best for showing how the yarn acts in those type of projects? Youtube links would be appreciated if you have them.
