So, like the title says, I want to make the beekeepers quilt for my boyfriend. My boyfriend and I are both a bit of blanket hogs, so even though we only have a double bed, I'd like to make it big enough to fit a queen or a king.
I know this is gonna take a lot of yarn, and I also know that there's no way I'll be able to afford it all at once. I've decided to make it with fingering weight yarn in four colors: Black, White, Light Blue, and Medium Blue. I want to make alternating rows; one black/light blue and the other white/medium blue.
So now my question. About how big would each puff be and about how much yarn would a single one eat up? I'm just trying to figure out how much of each color I have to buy.
