Mixed sheath Materials

I picked up some leather from Tandy a few weeks ago. I have never worked with it as a death material before so ignore my poor stitching. Iām curious generally what your guys think of this mixed material concept. I had some scrap kydex laying around this morning and budged this together over coffee, so ignore errors- not a finished concept- but Iām curious what you kids think.
