Avoid MKM, especially their "Magnacut"
Post Body

Bought the TPF Defense because I liked the design, and magnacut w/ HRC 63 sounded great as an EDC.

Welp, this knife is extremely underwhelming. I immediately noticed that it dulls far too quickly vs. my other Magnacut blades. Then upon sharpening it I discovered that it has a very uneven grind. After a few weeks of use, I wrote MKM for a warranty claim since there was obviously something off about the heat treat and the noticably uneven primary grind was bugging me.

MKM basically told me I'm wrong and they wouldn't replace it.

Yesterday I went on a hike in the forest near a waterfall for my birthday. Pretty moist conditions, and I used the knife twice - quickly wiped down each time on my pant leg. This morning I go to grab this blade to open a package and was met with this. That's... certainly a lot more rust than I was expecting on a "magnacut" blade that saw light use. MKM was pretty recalcitrant about my attempted warranty claim, so I doubt this photo will change anything. I just wanted to warn people to look elsewhere for Magnacut blades.
