Anyone ever have firefox crash from too much memory usage when mainsail is the only thing open in it?

Last time i checked firefox was showing 12GB of ram usage which is way more then chrome with dozens of tabs open and mainsail is the only thing open in it. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it?
