Hello again! Just had another fun idea.
When hovering over a building/upgrade/technology/etc., the associated resources are highlighted in the left menu.
This is super helpful for knowing which resources you should keep an eye on.
However, I've found myself wishing that I could have the opposite happen as well, especially when trying to find a way to effectively spend my resources after an extended period of unsupervised production. After I build my target items first, of course.
Here's an example:
Without reverse resource highlighting
- I leave my game running over night and wake up to full resources and a glut of crafted items thanks to the Steamworks.
- My current goal is to increase my science cap, so I build/upgrade everything I can with a science cap increase until I run out of resources.
- I now have some resource that are mostly empty and some that are still full.
- I browse my list of buildings to find things I can build using my capped resources.
- I eventually find something and begin working towards it.

- I hover over the full resources in the left menu and see several buildings highlighted in my Bonfire tab.
- I click the Workshop tab and hover over the same resources to see what can be built in here as well.
- I see that the Temple would be the best use of my capped resource and begin working towards it.
Granted, this can also be done by hovering over each building/upgrade and seeing which highlights the target resource, but this reversed option could improve the UX.
I hope this helps. Have fun y'all!
