Long story short I've been renting a room from a very foul old woman since August, she doesn't like me and she's fabricated a story that I'm stealing food as an excuse to kick me out.

I'm ecstatic to leave, but my suspicion is that she'll steal my deposit and half a months rent, is there anything I can do aside from small claims court? (If I'm understanding the fees right it's almost 1/3 of what I believe she'll steal just to file)

Update: as suspected she stole a decent amount of money, but not enough that I think it's worth taking her to small claims court (Received $487.17/894.20) As well as writing a diatribe before the receipt containing complete lies (honestly I suspect it is more likely mental health issues)
