Balls pinching between ring and seat?

Strange ask. But I’ve been trying to play with ring size to be able to sleep through the night.
I was in a 2 curved ring with N narrow. Trying both the 3XD and 4XD rings, I noticed pain when sitting. It looks like my balls are getting smashed between the ring and the seat. Is there some way around that? Or am I doing something wrong?
I don’t think I ran into the issue with the 2 curved, but the straining at night was baaaad(never tried sleeping with the belt)
