Where are these Charcoal-burners I'm looking for?

I'm doing the quest "Ginger in a Pickle" and trying to find some damn charcoal-burners. Says I'll find them "close to the bridge over the forest stream" but I can't find them anywhere. Anyone know where they are for this part of the quest? Feel like I've wandered this whole area with no luck for like an hour or more.
