New player here. “Keeping the Peace” quest complaint

I finished the quest “Keeping the Peace” And after the fistfight with the noble I got thrown in jail for five days. Like...what the fuck? The quest forced me to fight the idiot and then told me to either pay 80 coins or go to jail. Im still new in the game so I don’t have that kind of money.

Just getting really frustrated with the first few hours of this game.

EDIT: this literally happened two minutes after I posted this. My guy is starving so I ran upstairs to try and find food and opened up a chest. Then a guard walks in and tells me I’m stealing and takes 60 of my 72 Groschen. I’m calling it a night.
