I recently got a Fire HD10 2023 (referred to as new tablet from here on out) for Christmas and I noticed when it did the restore from my Fire HD10 9th generation (referred to as old tablet from here on out) that it's replacing that it picked up on the existence of all the apps, including the ones sideloaded or gotten from the play store (that make up the vast majority of what was on the tablet), and arranged them on the homepage how they are on the old tablet, just as black squares and when I tap on one it says that "apps stored on your SD card are being optimised for use on your fire. Optimisation may take a few minutes. Please wait a few minutes and then try again". It's important to note at this point that my old tablet had an SD in it that I used as internal storage that had all of the apps stored on it and my new tablet does not, though I do have an SD card on order. Just out of curiosity I did put the SD card from the old tablet into the new tablet to see if that would magically work but it said that the SD card was tied to the old device and asked me to instead reformat/wipe the card so it would work on the new tablet, so I took it out and put it back in the old tablet.
Once the SD card I have on order for the new tablet arrives is there a way of getting all of the apps onto my new tablet, including game save data, effectively "finishing off" the restore? I'm fine repeating the factory setup process again on the new tablet as I've specifically avoided using it until I get the new SD card and I'm able to get all of my apps onto the new tablet
Edit - My SD card has arrived
