Third party books note/highlight saving
Post Body

I have read you can go to https://read.amazon.com/notebook to maintain your highlights and notes and it has worked for books bought on amazon. As for third party books that haven't come off the amazon site it doesn't seem to work. I have tried sending the books through email and have them converted as needed but it still doesn't save any notes/highlights, I am not sure if this is supposed to work or not as it is difficult to find information for it.

If this isn't a feature it would be great if they provided support for third party books sent through the email that are converted. They have the book information from your cloud from emailing so how come they are unable to add the notes for it.

If this is just amazon being "nope gotta buy books from us" that is quite frustrating.. I still love my kindle though.

Also off topic a bit: When sending files through email it always asks me to verify it and has a notice at the bottom with a link stating "Prefer to skip the verification step next time?" but when looking at the settings there is no option to skip verification.
