Making the UI useful again
Post Body

Hi all. I briefly tried using the search tool for a topic like this, but didn't find anything. So, if I'm repeating a topic, my apologies and I'll gladly accept a link to the old thread.

So on to my issues...

I've been a kindle user for years. I started with a gen 3 keyboard, had a Paperwhite and now I have a Voyage. After all of these years I have a LOT of books. The problem is, the last time I found the UI truly useful was back in my 3rd Gen.

My real issue is with the way the library is organized. With the 3rd Gen I could arrange everything into collections, and if I put a book into the collection it no longer showed individually. As a result, because of the way my reading and buying habits are, I could put a book in a collection when I was done with it, and it didn't clutter up my library view anymore. And if a book wasn't in a collection it was a signal to me that it was unread. This was great for me, since I often buy in spurts. It meant when I finished a book it was really easy to go see if there was something I already owned that I wanted to read next, or if I needed to go look for something in the store.

It also makes finding anything more easy. Going through 15 pages of collections by author is a lot easier than going through 90 pages of individual books and collections.

TL;DR: Is there any way to arrange my library so that only collections and books that haven't been sorted into a collection show up?
