In the past 2 years, I’ve gone through 5 of these trying to find the one that was juuuuust right for me. And that, it turns out, is the 2018 Paperwhite! Amazon had a brand new one available, so I nabbed it. I’ll admit, it was incredibly slow when I first turned it on and set it up. The layout was also an older version. But as soon as I updated it to the latest software, it was 5x faster, and looked like the most recent models. I love it!! I wish they had the sage available, but the twilight blue is nice📱
Also, of the 5 devices, Amazon has removed ads for me 4x. I bought ads the Kindle before this, because I thought I’d reached my limit. Guess not 😆
