So I've kind of fallen royally behind on all of the podcasts lately (which is my primary consumption of KindaFunny content, as I primarily consume during long drives)- life occasionally gets in the way.
I'm mainly super curious as to whether or not any of the KindFunny crew, or the best friends have tried out BoxVR yet!
I picked it up the other day with the full expectation that it'd be a janky BeatSaber knockoff, and it kind of is (the menus are dumb, there's no height adjustment, and it's definitely got some ironing out to do) but with that being said- I think it's amongst my favorite PSVR titles so far. I used to take my physical fitness super seriously back in my highschool days (Mixed Martial Arts, bodybuilding and powerlifting), but in the last decade or so, it's regrettably fallen to the wayside. I've been doing really well this year with returning to my former love for exercise and dieting- with hiccups here and there, but overall it's been the best comeback for my health since I got hit by a car when I was 15. I haven't gotten back into a fitness regiment consistently for more than a month or so in over 10 years. I found Beatsaber to be a ton of fun a few months ago when I picked it up, but quickly fell out of it. But OH BOY, am I in love with this game. I'm blown away by more much more engaging I find this than any previous exercise "game" or "app".
My lats, delts, lower back, legs, and obliques are sore and tired, yet my posture has noticeably improved in the last 3 days. I feel more energized and excited to exercise. I feel like I've found something that will truly help me keep with this for the long haul.
I guess the main purpose of my post is to ask if anyone else has tried it, if they love it as much as I do, or if I'm in the minority here?
Also, Shout out to the community for always being a ray of sunshine in a chaotic world- there's occasional shitposters, but I've never found such an overwhelmingly positive community on the internet, it's truly one of a kind!
