So full disclosure to begin with: I'm a regular viewer of KF but have never been super keen on "the bar." Its probably the most shilly the crew gets in terms of their fundraising. They deserve to get paid, no denying that, but I suspect a lot of their support on Twitch comes from the same people who pay them on Patreon and Youtube and it feels like there is a lot of double dipping into the community when we're already paying quite a bit. Personally, I usually pay $25 a month to Patreon. Would that money be better spent on a Twitch stream to get an extra hour of content, potentially? This is where the conversation stops being about paying for a subscription service and just giving money away.
Anyhow, with that in mind I do have some ideas for how I'd like to "freshen up" the presentation. We've been doing the daily streams for a long time and they're a lot of fun, but if its one thing that becomes a bit annoying to hear is Mike or Kevin every few minutes asking for more money. And this isn't meant to be an attack on them as individuals, its just one of those things that when you are already giving X amount of dollars to be constantly begged for more becomes a bit much. What I would rather see is incentivizing people to give them money in other ways, with smaller goals leading into a bigger goal. We already have a monthly goal (some are more interesting than others, admittedly) but I'd like to see smaller "weekly goals" with a larger monthly goal as a "stretch goal" similar to their fundraising streams. I think the Nugget Reranking, just as an example, would work better as a weekly goal compared to the basketball game or golf which works better as a monthly goal.
In addition to this I'd personally like to see a change-up of the lineup a little bit more than we have recently. We don't get a whole lot of Tim and Blessing on the afternoon streams which has been a bit of a bummer. Greg pops in sometimes, but usually for a sponsored bit. I understand they might be stretched a bit thin but things like the Resident Evil playthroughs and other afternoon streams with Blessing have been the best content they've done. Similarly the Mario 3D world streams with Tim were also great. A little more of that would be fun to see. Also, some Versus content as well. most of what Andy, Mike and Nick play is cooperative stuff and Id like to see more Party Mode style streams where they are facing off against one another more often. Anyhow, what are your thoughts on this and other ideas you might have for livening up the daily streams?
