My Thoughts, From a Frequent Backer
Post Body

Hi, I am not a Kickstarter entrepreneur, but I am a big backer. I currently have 18 active pledges and 41 successful pledges. I love supporting you guys. I have just a couple of comments:

  1. Please, please, please provide regular updates. I know you can be very swamped and often maybe it seems like nothing has happened, but trust me, even an update that is a short expanded version of "We are still working hard and we still fully expect to meet the timeline." goes a long way. Put it into your calendar, every couple of weeks, every Monday, the first Tuesday of each month, whatever, just make it part of your campaign to provide Updates on a regular basis.
  2. Not all, but many times the "Risks and Challenges" comes off as pollyanna-ish and not given proper consideration. It's like going asked at a job interview "What are your weaknesses?" and you answer "I am too punctual, work too hard, probably I am too concerned about getting things right." I don't think you have to do a full risk and mitigation plan, but what are the true risks: Financial, technical, supply, maybe there are regulatory risks. These are not just risks for failure, but risks to the timeline, for example.

Anyway, just my two cents, keep up the good work, love the creativity!
