So, I've been meticulously picking vehicles for a long time. Local Kia dealer assured me that if I shop local, no markup.
It's finally time for me to tell him the vehicle I want so they can locate it. He sends me a quote with nothing itemized and 4K over sticker.
I figured he was going to be a slimeball, so I had established email contact with a dealership a 100ish miles away. Emailed them today and their quote was less than MSRP with almost no fees at all.
I'm driving there tomorrow to buy.
I told the guy here from the beginning to tell me the truth and he thought when I got to the point I had no car (buy back) that he'd stick it to me. Not so much.
I really dislike these old school acting dealers. I did get a bunch of test drives out of him, though.
