LED or Halogen replacement headlights (2015 Sportage)

Son just got his license and giving him our 2015 sportage but being a new driver the headlights we’d like to upgrade so they are safer and brighter for night driving. Was looking at these:

Any other recommendations or considerations for the two light output types? Located in Wisconsin if cold winters matter for either. Appreciate any help and suggestions.
