Help me adjust to the Keto Chow of 2024, Old Timers!
Post Body

(EDIT Summary: Is the KC of 2024 pretty much the same as the KC of 2015-ish, formulation-wise?)

Hi all, so I used to drink keto chow with heavy whipped cream as the fat wayyy back in the day. Think 2015. But I had kids and cooked all our meals and wasn't gonna eat separately.

But fast forward many years, and the stress of many kids, being on the road all the time, etc. has left me feeling crap. I've come crawling back ;)

I remember how fit I used to get before I was performing in musicals, costumiers always had to take in my costumes right before opening night, and I had blood work done w/a physician before and after a two-month cycle of KC and my numbers improved so much.

HOWEVER, KC has changed as our wonderful creator grew the company. It used to be these cheap silvered baggies with home-printed logos, maybe four flavors to choose from?

Now it looks like there's tons of flavors, and there's different kinds of fats people mix in? And maybe the product has more sodium than it used to (I really can't remember, but I don't think three meals was hitting 100% DV of sodium back then). (I also don't remember instructions to supplement with EPA/DHA back then, but I am old and forgetful now.)

Used to be, the instructions were explicitly "water, cream, powder, shake and store in fridge overnight."

Anyway, I want to replicate my old process as best I can. Has the recipe remained pretty much the same the past decade, but there are just more flavors now?

Thanks so much. Looking forward to breaking through my crap eating rut.
