Ketamine Noobie After Effects?
Post Body

Hi, I did K for the 2nd time Saturday. First time was just a little bit, a few times spaced over an evening at a big party. Loved it.

Saturday, time number two, I did what my hosts approximated as around 1/4 gram. I guess it was a K-hole, I was happily immobile and the visuals and psychological experience was completely new to me, mind-expanding, and helped me release some stuff and get more self-connected.

Here’s my question. Going on two days later, I’m still having drainage in the back of my throat, similar in type though not in quantity to what I had when I did the K. Have a mild headache, which I usually don’t get, and feel, if this isn’t too vague, a little strung out. I’m also tired.

Does that sound within the normal range of aftereffects for a noobie? I’m sort of on the self-care side of things, so sleep, wholesome food, ample water and tea, yoga, some meditation including some deeper breathing are my usuals and I have been doing that.

Other things I've tried are mainly acid and mushrooms, and I don't get a headache from those, and two days later I'm pretty much back to normal.

Even though I’m a noobie, I try to do my due diligence about sourcing. I don’t think it would have been a problem with impurities or my K being cut with something cheaper. I actually got a lecture on the three isomers or types of K, and how the best K is a mix of two of the types - I don’t remember all the deets but I’m pretty sure my source, who took it with me, is scrupulous with regard to purity.

I know there are different categories of places and beings one can encounter. Just for interest sake, mine seemed kind of a combo of outer spacey and mythic - deep, black space, from which perspective I lost my fear of death, somehow dying was ok, but I was peaceful, not despairing. The part that felt perhaps a bit mythic was I saw a line of squatting Indian women, all tricked out in a great deal of silver jewelry, covering maybe 20 percent of their bodies so a LOT of jewelry, and they were in a line, as if six skydivers in a straight line prepared to drop out of a plane one after another, and I saw them be dropped, one at a time, to wherever they were going. The thing about them being mythic was a feeling, no signs I saw of this, so that could also be a little grandiosity from the experience. I am changed, for the better, from the visions and feelings so I know something happened, I went somewhere, contacted something, shifted something within me. I have read about ego death, and I think this was in that category, I lost my sense of body and an “I”.

Interestingly, I've done heroic type doses of mushrooms and acid together (5 g shrooms and 1.75 tabs). I've gotten to "melting," where surfaces melt, but not ego death. And this was what I understand was a large but not heroic dose of K, and I did go to ego dissolution. Interesting. I guess there's a wide range in how one reacts to different substances. I'm not sure what to ask about this, but observations, insights, comments welcome.

Thanks. Happy traveling.
