i can't count the number of times i have seen people recommend acetaminophen (aka tylenol & paracetamol) or ibuprofen (advil) for cramps on here. neither of these medications is an antispasmodic so it is literally physically impossible that they will help your cramps. all you are doing is putting unnecessary strain on your GI tract, liver and kidneys and fooling yourself with the placebo effect.
it's very sad and concerning how much completely bonkers mythology has built up around "k cramps" on here to the point that people think any pain they experience on any amount of k is a) directly caused by it and therefore b) untreatable and c) a deserved punishment for doing drugs. everyone jumps to "throw away your k" as though symbolically punishing yourself will magically fix your health problems. as someone who uses k for improperly managed chronic pain it's immensely frustrating to see everyone getting cause and effect so completely backwards. many people self-medicate for chronic pain or other untreated issues without even realizing that's what they're doing.
i wish to god any of you would just take a minute to read some actual research (like, a peer-reviewed paper, not a chatgpt hallucination) and not parrot every "fact" you hear about drugs with no cross-checking.
it's clear many of you are so traumatized by the US healthcare system that you think going to the doctor is an absolute last resort, but that doesn't give you the right to try to make everyone else as scared of seeking necessary medical care as you are.
