Preventing nausea when taking ketamine?

Post Body

A friend of mine has always had an issue where he pukes every time he snorts ketamine, regardless of the dose. This has been a consistent problem for him for as long as he's been using it.

Recently, he claims to have found a solution: if he takes another drug beforehand (usually 3MMC), he doesn’t experience the nausea or vomiting. I’ve witnessed this myself on multiple occasions, and it does seem to work for him.

What I can’t figure out is why this happens. Could there be a physiological or chemical explanation for this interaction, or is it just a placebo effect? I’d love to hear if anyone else has experienced something similar or if there’s any science behind this.
