Question: Stimulant or sedative

I’ve tried k twice now both time from the same source which claims it’s the same stuff, about 1 week apart. The first time it was very sedative, I was glued to the couch and it felt similar to what I imagined heroin might feel like. The second time it was similar but much more energizing felt more like I was on coke as well. Why did it feel so different the second time? Is this common? Is it dosage or are these not the same substances? Let me know any insight please I’m new to this and a bit confused.
