My wife and I tried K for the first time on Saturday with another more experienced couple. It was excellent.

We started snorting two thin lines each. Eventually I did a few more. My wife didn’t do much more, as she was feeling feelings about the social dynamic.

The high was subtle. At first I wasn’t sure anything was happening. But the classic standup test told me otherwise.

Music was excellent. My friend DJ’d. I may have to start listening to the Dead now.

The feeling was very connected with the people around me. These friends are new friends but I felt 100% comfortable with them. The conversation was amazing and incredibly vulnerable and supportive. I think it’s as a bit therapeutic for all of us.

It felt a bit like time stopped. I knew it was supposed to be a relatively short trip compared to acid and others, but when I was at the peak, it felt like it was lasting a long time, in the best way. We described it as feeling as tho we had been “popped out of time.” It was sweet.

Another metaphor that came up was that we were surfing the cosmos. Hard to describe but that was definitely part of the feeling of connection and oneness with the others in the room. Everything was as it was supposed to be. Upon reflection, it more felt like the currents of the cosmos were moving through me, via the back of my mind, as if it was moving in a great galactic circle connecting us all.

Come down was subtle and smooth. And I wasn’t feeling like I needed to do more, as I sometimes do with weed and alcohol.

Definitely would do again.
