Need some advice on my Kendo practice
Post Body

So I’m pretty new to practicing Kendo, at first I was very excited to begin Kendo but now I’m thinking about possibly quitting which I really don’t want to do because overall I enjoy it, it’s just that I’ve been having some issues with learning the basics. I feel as if my Sensei is getting frustrated with me and as a result I am getting frustrated with myself and beginning to doubt myself. I am trying my best to learn and take the feedback that my Sensei is giving me but I can’t seem to put it into practice. I tried telling my Sensei that I’m struggling to learn and he told me that I’m not listening and that he can’t make his instructions any simpler for me. At this point in time I don’t know what to do. I would really like to continue my Kendo practice, I really don’t want to be a quitter. Unfortunately I feel that my Sensei doesn’t have the patience to deal with me and that I am too slow of a learner to keep up. What should I do? Has anyone here who’s more advanced ever feel like quitting? And how did you overcome that?

TLDR: I’m struggling with learning the basics and I feel as though my Sensei is getting frustrated with me.
