So the house I am currently living in only has top loading washing machine with the screw in the middle. Every time I try to wash my kendogi and hakama in there, they both comes out twisted up and bunched up, especially the hakama. I am worried that it might be shortening the life span every time I put it in my top loading washer because they are coming out all twisted and bunched up. I put it in light wash setting and it still comes out mangled.
Is there a way to wash it safely? Or do I have to resort to hand washing them?
