Hello,
I have been practicing Kendo for almost 8 months now and I have been feeling tense pain on my Achilles heel right after the exercise and I also feel sharp pain when pressed with my fingers, even several days after the exercise.
I was told that once I build more muscle on Achilles heel, the pain will be gone, but that hasn't been the case. For the first three-four months, the pain has been excruciating, but now, the pain has substantially resided and is a daily annoyance.
I was also told that after heavy workout, I should use cold pack for the first two-three days and afterward, use hot pack. But I practice Kendo three times a week and practice daily at home. Should I apply hot pack since the Achilles heel pain has been somewhat "chronic?" Or could someone provide me with sage advice on a more systematic way to keep my Achilles heel relieved and heal faster?
Please help!
