A decade ago, I practiced kendo for about half a year before I sustained an injury that put me of action for 2 months. Sadly, I never stepped into the dojo again and picked up other hobbies and well, focused on other parts of my life instead.
A decade later, my parents are selling their house and as I was clearing up some of my old stuff, I saw my old bogu. It'll be a shame for it to now just move to my new place and remain in storage again, I would like to see it find a new home where it will find use again. Especially now that I've learnt that Chiba Bogu isn't in business and practitioners can't get a set from them anymore.
What's the best way to sell used kendo gear? The Men was custom made to fit my head of course and was even modified to fit my then wider rimmed glasses. Both the men and kote have small sewn on patches with my name in Chinese on them, which I guess can be removed with care.
Or should I just keep them in the hopes that my son will grow up practicing kendo and use them... a decade later?
